The storefront at 1131 E. Southlake Blvd. stood dark for more than 15 months. RA Sushi had been there since September 2015. It closed on May 29, 2025, just short of its 10th anniversary, as Community Impact reported. On September 14, 2026, Hudson House opened at that same address.
Hydration Room arrived four days later at 1161 E. Southlake Blvd., a few doors east. Barry's is preparing a studio at 1081 E. Southlake Blvd., west of Hudson House. Taken together, the new openings say something about where Park Village is heading. It used to be a place for a quick salad. It is becoming a place where one evening can hold a workout, a wellness appointment and a proper dinner.
What changed at 1131 E. Southlake Blvd.
RA Sushi was a sushi and hibachi spot with poke bowls and Wagyu steak on the menu, according to Community Impact's report on the closing. Hudson House kept sushi but built a larger restaurant around it. Community Impact's opening story lists burgers, sushi and a raw bar, with oysters flown in daily from the East Coast. The house signature is the "World's Coldest Martini," made with chilled Grey Goose vodka.
The brand also has a track record nearby. Hudson House started in Highland Park in 2017 and now has North Texas locations in Frisco, Addison and Las Colinas. For anyone in Southlake who used to drive to Las Colinas for this kind of evening, the trip is now much shorter.
The restaurant also changes the dinner options inside the center itself. Most of Park Village's food tenants are built for a quick stop, and the next section shows how the center got to that mix.
Park Village, told through its arrivals
Park Village calls itself a 185,000-square-foot open-air shopping and dining center, and its main address is 1065 E. Southlake Blvd. If you sort its tenants, past and present, by when they arrived, you can see the center change over time.
- 2015, a new development. A June 2015 Southlake Style update named Luna Grill and Malai Kitchen among the businesses expected to open that summer. Malai Kitchen, which serves Thai and Vietnamese food, took Suite 220 at 1161 E. Southlake Blvd., per the Dallas Morning News. RA Sushi opened that September.
- 2022, quick meals and dessert. Cream & Crepes Cafe opened in late February 2022 at 1151 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 330, selling crepes, waffles, pastries and homemade ice cream, according to Southlake Style. Sweetgreen followed on December 13, 2022, at 1111 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 430, per Community Impact.
- 2024, treats and the first body-care studio. Cookie Society officially opened March 1, 2024, at 1161 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 208. That October, Southlake Style wrote that The Tox had recently opened at Park Village. The Tox is a wellness studio offering lymphatic-flow services and body and facial sculpting.
- 2025, another bowl counter. Playa Bowls was announced for 1151 E. Southlake Blvd. with acai bowls, smoothies, juices and cold brew, Community Impact reported in January 2025. It now appears on the center's restaurant directory.
- 2026, dinner and wellness. Hudson House on September 14, Hydration Room on September 18, and Barry's expected in late October.
In the middle years, most new food tenants were counter-service or dessert. Salads, crepes, cookies and bowls are quick, light and easy to fit around errands. The 2026 group brings back a sit-down dinner and adds two more businesses built around exercise or body care.
The wellness row Hydration Room and Barry's are joining
The new wellness tenants are not starting from scratch. Park Village's current Retail + Wellness directory already lists Spa Habitat, The Tox, The Joint Chiropractic, The Lash Lounge, Blo Blow Dry Bar, Cool Heads Salon, Lavender Square–Aveda, Eye Trends Southlake and Park Village Nails. It also lists two stores for active people: Dallas Running Company and REI.
That is the setting the two newcomers are moving into.
- Hydration Room, 1161 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 280, opened September 18. The California company has more than 65 locations in its home state, and this is its first in Texas. It offers IV therapies and injections, such as a vitamin B12 shot. Registered nurses provide the care, and each patient gets a complimentary consultation with a nurse practitioner, founder Dr. Brett Florie told Community Impact. Park Village already lists it in the directory.
- Barry's, 1081 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 170, offers a high-intensity 50-minute group class that mixes strength training and cardio. Before opening, the studio was selling memberships and offering a free first class, according to Community Impact.
Each new arrival is a reason to come back often. A 50-minute class has a set start and end time, and it brings people to the center on a schedule. Hudson House sits east of Barry's in the same center, so a workout and a dinner reservation can now fall in the same evening at one address.
Fall 2026 arrivals at a glance
| Address | Business | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1131 E. Southlake Blvd. | Hudson House | Burgers, sushi, raw bar, martinis | Opened Sept. 14, 2026 |
| 1161 E. Southlake Blvd., Ste. 280 | Hydration Room | IV therapy and injections | Opened Sept. 18, 2026 |
| 1081 E. Southlake Blvd., Ste. 170 | Barry's | 50-minute strength and cardio classes | Expected late October 2026 |
| 2001 W. Southlake Blvd., Ste. 149 | New York Butcher Shoppe | Fresh-cut meats, ready-to-go meals | Opened Sept. 18, 2026 |
| 280 Commerce St., Ste. 285 | Game Show Studio | Hosted game-show play inside Red Door Escape Room | Opened Sept. 12, 2026 |
The last two rows are not in Park Village, but they opened in Southlake during the same weeks, according to Community Impact's September business roundup. New York Butcher Shoppe's Southlake store is the second for co-owners Ruth and Bryson Nokes, who opened in Colleyville in August 2024. It serves hot meals six days a week and also stocks wagyu, craft beer and wine. Game Show Studio costs $37.95 per person for a one-hour episode, holds up to 16 players, and lets smaller groups join games that already have enough players.
Where the next few weeks land
Community Impact reported on September 28 that Barry's would open in late October. As of mid-October, the Barry's Southlake page still says "Opening Soon," so check there for the first class date before you plan around it.
After that, the holidays take over this stretch of Southlake Boulevard. Southlake Town Square's Christmas Tree Lighting is Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 1400 E. Southlake Blvd. The Visit Southlake event page lists Santa photos, a three-lane snow hill, local school groups on stage, and fireworks after the lighting. Hudson House sits west of Town Square on the same boulevard, at 1131 E. Southlake Blvd., which makes it the nearest of this fall's new dinner options for that night.
Park Village held its own holiday event last year. "Very Merry Park Village" was on Sunday, December 14, 2025, with Santa photos, cocoa and cookies, and a lit tree. The center's events page has not posted a 2026 date yet. If Park Village repeats a mid-December Sunday this year, it would land several weeks after the November 21 lighting across the boulevard.
The quickest way to see the change in person is to book an early-evening class at Barry's once it opens and then head east to Hudson House at 1131 E. Southlake Blvd. for dinner. Neither business was in Park Village in 2025.
